They are seeking a strategic and experienced Business Development & Sales Associate Director/Director to drive business growth through effective sales strategies and client engagement. Responsibilities β’ Meet and exceed sales targets, contributing significantly to the overall financial objectives β’ Drive revenue growth through successful negotiation and closing of key deals β’ Collaborate with the executive team to establish effective sales strategies β’ Build and strengthen client relationships through effective communication and partnerships β’ Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with company goals β’ Identify new business opportunities and market trends, ensuring a competitive edge β’ Mentor and manage junior associates to ensure collective achievement of sales targets β’ Drive internal weekly/monthly/quarterly meetings, reporting on team activities β’ Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement β’ Collaborate with internal teams, including R&D, Operations, and Marketing, to ensure seamless client engagement β’ Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics β’ Provide insights and recommendations for adapting business strategies β’ Deliver compelling sales presentations to both internal and external clients β’ Assist in the preparation of quotations for prospective sales proposals and orders β’ Identify relevant conferences and tradeshows to attend and/or exhibit at, driving company brand awareness and visibility Skills β’ Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business discipline required β’ Proven track record with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in sales and or business development, or transferrable skills in biotech or bio-pharmaceutical industry β’ Full English professional proficiency required β’ A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience with biologics CDMO contract service providers is a must β’ Strong commercial focus with a demonstrated success in driving significant revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives β’ Passion in sales and high self-discipline β’ Strong client-centric approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills β’ Outstanding ability to build key client relationships β’ Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and guide a high-performing team β’ Ability to work independently and in a team environment β’ Ability to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans β’ Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of closing complex deals β’ Ability to adapt to evolving industry trends and changing business landscapes β’ Advanced degree preferred β’ Extensive existing biopharmaceutical industry contacts/network is preferred Company Overview β’ Boston Institute of Biotechnology provides full-spectrum services for microbial fermentation and mammalian cell culture processes.
