We are seeking a strategic and hands-on VP of HR to join a small, private equity firm. You're the right fit if you are... - Familiar with the dynamics of internal private equity firms, financial services, or law firms operating under a partnership model - Experienced in working within small, agile organizations where your contributions have a direct impact. - Energized by entrepreneurial settings where wearing multiple hats is the norm, not the exception - Someone who brings strong executive presence and can confidently engage with senior stakeholders - Known for your high emotional intelligence and ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics with ease WORK ENVIRONMENT: Hybrid schedule: 2β3 days in-office in San Francisco (Financial District) REPORTS TO: COO WHAT YOU'LL DO β’ People Operations & Risk Management: Managing sensitive employee matters, supporting internal investigations, and overseeing relationships with external partners and vendors related to people operations. β’ Culture & Engagement: Driving initiatives that promote employee engagement, collaboration, and a strong sense of purpose, using data and feedback to inform strategy. β’ Performance & Development: Leading performance management processes, including feedback frameworks and 360 reviews, while building and implementing programs that support leadership development and career growth. β’ Total Rewards & Wellbeing: Collaborating with internal stakeholders to manage benefits programs and recommend enhancements that support employee wellness and retention. β’ Learning & Growth: Designing and implementing learning and development strategies, including manager training, career pathing, and succession planning. β’ Compliance & Policy: Ensuring HR practices and policies are compliant with applicable laws and reflect best practices, including regular updates to internal documentation. β’ Talent Programs: Overseeing the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, and offboarding, with a focus on creating seamless and engaging experiences. β’ Cross-functional Collaboration: Partnering with leadership, finance, and legal teams to align people initiatives with broader organizational priorities. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR β’ 8+ years of experience in a HR leadership role in small to medium-sized organizations β’ Background in internal Private Equity, Financial Services, Professional Services or similar within a Partnership model β’ Proven success in building and scaling people strategies in fast-paced environments β’ Experience with performance systems (Lattice a plus), benefits, and compliance β’ Strong coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills β’ High emotional intelligence and executive presence #LI-MW1 Apply tot his job
