Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. BruntWork is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the full accounting operations of a CPA firm. The role involves managing year-end close activities, preparing federal tax returns, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP while maintaining strict confidentiality. Responsibilities • Support the full accounting operations of a CPA firm. • Perform review and compilation work for non-public companies in accordance with US GAAP, including financial statements, documentation, footnotes, and required checklists. • Manage year-end close activities in QuickBooks, including bank and loan reconciliations, fixed asset updates, depreciation, and journal entries. • Handle monthly accounting and bookkeeping on a cash or accrual basis. • Prepare federal tax returns, including Forms 1120-S, 1120, and 1065. • Assist with tax advisory services and related accounting work. • Maintain strict confidentiality and follow security protocols when handling client information. • Collaborate closely with the internal bookkeeping and accounting team. • Adjust workload and availability based on seasonal demands (especially during busy season).
