We are looking to fill a bookkeeper and accounting specialist for a small US company. This role would be about 30 hours per week. QuickBooks online and Shopify experience is a MUST! Le Jardin Francais is a successful and growing international Floral, Event and Garden design studio. We offer an abundance of unique, creative, and custom-designed products and services. We are seeking an experienced and motivated bookkeeper to join our culture of excellence! We are hiring for the position of a Bookkeeper/Accounting Specialist to begin immediately. This is a critical position in our organization, enabling the rest of the team to function smoothly and making sure no detail slips through the cracks. Excellent communication & time management skills are crucial. QuickBooks online and Shopify experience is a MUST. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: β’ Accounts Payables (i.e. reviewing & posting bills, credit card transactions and expense reports, AP report maintenance, and processing payments) β’ Accounts Receivables (posting payments, working with AR reports, and supporting the company with collections) β’ Payroll (i.e. payroll & payroll tax management & processing) β’ Cash Flow management & control, as well as budget forecasting & reporting Administrative Tasks, including but not limited to, the following: β’ Management of the company's online & physical document storage and databases β’ Troubleshooting technical issues as needed β’ Safeguarding the financial interests of the company (i.e. taking the initiative to resolve erroneous billing, etc.) Job Requirements: β’ Experience working in QuickBooks online and Shopify β’ Experience processing Payroll within an organization with multiple categories of employees (i.e. W2, 1099, etc.) β’ Experience with Accounts Reconciliation β’ Experience with Sales tax β’ Experience with US small business liabilities and insurance and tax compliance β’ Knowledge of Payroll taxes (State & Federal) β’ Experience with purchasing & inventory management β’ Fluency in French and/or Spanish is ideal, but not required β’ Proficient with use of AI , computer systems and comfortable with common digital collaboration tools Benefits: β’ Flexible schedule β’ Remote role Schedule: β’ Day shift (EST time zone) β’ Monday to Friday - weekends optional when working independently Experience: β’ QuickBooks online: 5 years (Required) β’ Bookkeeping: 5 years (Preferred) β’ Accounts Payables: 5 years (Preferred) β’ Shopify (Preferred) β’ What is your experience with accounting and more specifically with QuickBooks online? β’ What is your experience with Shopify? β’ What is your experience with Accounts Payables? β’ What is your experience with Accounts Receivables? β’ Describe your experience with small business bookeeping and accounting in the US. β’ What is your experience with bank reconcicilation? β’ What is your experience with P&L and balance sheets? β’ What is your experience with QuickBooks Payroll and QuickBooks time? β’ What is your experience with sales tax? β’ What excites you about the possibility of working for Le Jardin Francais ? β’ What is your experience in the high-end industry and with the European culture? β’ What is your philosophy regarding the impact of your lifestyle on your health and the environment? β’ Do you know what your Myers-Briggs personality type is?
