Role Description This role involves supporting Medicaid recipients and healthcare providers as a Call Center Customer Service Representative. This is a great opportunity to learn Medicaid benefits, eligibility, and claims analysis. β€’ Using a computerized system, respond to Virginia Medicaid member and provider inquiries in a call center environment using standard scripts and procedures. β€’ Gather information, assess caller needs, research and resolve inquiries, and document calls. β€’ Provide clear and concise information regarding eligibility, claim status, and provider enrollment status. β€’ Follow documented policies and procedures including call handling and escalations. β€’ Act as an advocate for both Medicaid recipients and providers to ensure their needs are met. Qualifications β€’ Positive and energetic attitude. β€’ Ability to communicate clearly and confidently. β€’ Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively. β€’ Attention to detail, grammar, and spelling accuracy. Requirements β€’ Must be at least 18 years of age or older. β€’ Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). β€’ Must be eligible to work in the United States. β€’ Must be able to clear a criminal background check and drug test. β€’ High-speed internet access and space to work away from noise and distractions. Preferred Experience β€’ Previous experience with Medicaid, Medicare, or Health Insurance preferred. β€’ Computer system experience with data entry and database documentation knowledge. β€’ Call center or professional office experience. β€’ Knowledge of Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) is helpful. β€’ Bilingual; Spanish speaking preferred.
