Role Description This role involves supporting Medicaid recipients and healthcare providers as a Call Center Customer Service Representative. This is a great opportunity to learn Medicaid benefits, eligibility, and claims analysis. β’ Using a computerized system, respond to Virginia Medicaid member and provider inquiries in a call center environment using standard scripts and procedures. β’ Gather information, assess caller needs, research and resolve inquiries, and document calls. β’ Provide clear and concise information regarding eligibility, claim status, and provider enrollment status. β’ Follow documented policies and procedures including call handling and escalations. β’ Act as an advocate for both Medicaid recipients and providers to ensure their needs are met. Qualifications β’ Positive and energetic attitude. β’ Ability to communicate clearly and confidently. β’ Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively. β’ Attention to detail, grammar, and spelling accuracy. Requirements β’ Must be at least 18 years of age or older. β’ Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). β’ Must be eligible to work in the United States. β’ Must be able to clear a criminal background check and drug test. β’ High-speed internet access and space to work away from noise and distractions. Preferred Experience β’ Previous experience with Medicaid, Medicare, or Health Insurance preferred. β’ Computer system experience with data entry and database documentation knowledge. β’ Call center or professional office experience. β’ Knowledge of Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) is helpful. β’ Bilingual; Spanish speaking preferred.
