A strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is crucial for success in this position. Responsibilities • Accurately transcribe physician-patient interactions during examinations and procedures. • Document medical histories, physical exams, and treatment plans in electronic health record (EHR) systems. • Maintain organized and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. • Assist in the management of patient flow within the medical office or emergency room setting. • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure all necessary information is captured during patient visits. • Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to interpret and document clinical information effectively. • Support the healthcare team by managing administrative tasks related to patient documentation. Requirements • Proven experience in transcription, preferably within a medical setting. • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and EHR systems is highly desirable. • Previous experience in a medical office or emergency room environment is a plus. • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. • Excellent typing skills with a focus on accuracy and speed. • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
