Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize Safety: Ensure the safety of all motorists while operating a vehicle, adhering to industry-recognized safety protocols and best practices.
- Pre- and Post-Trip Examinations: Conduct thorough examinations of the vehicle to ensure stability and identify any potential issues.
- Delivery Route Coordination: Plan and coordinate delivery routes to guarantee timely arrivals and efficient deliveries.
- Shipment Security: Implement industry-recognized practices for securing shipments in transit, minimizing risks and damages.
- Effective Communication: Maintain clear lines of communication with dispatchers, customers, and other stakeholders to maximize efficiency and ensure seamless deliveries.
- Accurate Record-Keeping: Log work hours, document vehicle maintenance information, and track performance metrics.
- Safety Protocols and DOT Regulations: Implement safety protocols, adhere to DOT regulations, and report any vehicle issues, accidents, or violations promptly.
Qualifications
- CDL License: Current and valid Class A CDL license required.
- Clean Driving Record: Maintain a clean driving record, demonstrating a commitment to safe driving practices.
- DOT Physical Exam and Drug Test: Pass a DOT physical exam and drug test to ensure a smooth job application process.
- DOT Rules and Safety Standards: Experienced in following DOT rules and safety standards, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Time Management and Organization: Skilled in managing time and organizing workload efficiently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Heavy Load Handling: Proficient in executing heavy load handling and transportation tasks smoothly and swiftly.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Possess exceptional communication skills, enabling effective interaction with customers, dispatchers, and other stakeholders.
