Job Summary

Delta Airlines is seeking an experienced Part-Time Data Entry Clerk to join its team as a Customer Service Support Specialist. Key Responsibilities


  • Welcome and assist customers with the tagging and baggage registration process.

  • Utilize a computer to sell, print, and reissue tickets.

  • Manage the registration process, ensuring customers have the necessary documentation for travel.

  • Label baggage and perform lifting tasks, including moving bags from scales to transport lines, handling items at floor level, and lifting items up to mid-chest level.

  • Practice security-conscious behaviors in all operational cycles and systems.

What You Need to Succeed


  • Use computers to assist customers with seat availability, gate announcements, loading process, flight status, checking and handling baggage, and managing the loading process.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment, preparing passengers for boarding and lifting, opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors.

  • Practice security-conscious behaviors in all operational cycles and systems.

  • Be able to work in open areas and answer various questions about travel information.

  • Accompany unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport.

Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Embracing diversity, inclusivity, and different perspectives.

  • Regularly lifting bags or items weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Periodically lifting bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.

  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, using proper grammar, tone, and articulation.

  • Ability to work a fixed or rotating schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Exhibiting a commitment to security and handling sensitive customer information.
